Why Should You Choose Whole Food Supplements Over Synthetic Vitamins?
When Dr. Royal Lee introduced Catalyn in 1929 and began distributing it to doctors and patients, the response to the product was tremendous. Doctors and patients not only wanted more Catalyn, but they also wanted more products.
He took his blossoming vitamin company to two drug companies, both of whom were also developing “vitamin” products. Dr. Lee offered to “give” them everything – the farms, the equipment and their patents, and the processing techniques. One company rejected the offer; the other decided to test Dr. Lee’s Catalyn product against their own products first.
The company took three groups of lab animals and starved them nearly to death. One group was fed nothing, the second group was given Catalyn, and the third group was given the company’s chemical vitamins.
In the first thirty days, all the animals in the first group died. The animals in the Catalyn group improved only 25%. The animals in the chemical vitamin group improved about 50%. In the next thirty days, the animals in the Catalyn group improved another 25%, while the animals in the chemical vitamin group improved to nearly 100% -- almost fully recovered.
At the end of the next thirty days (90 days in all) the animals in the Catalyn group continued to improve about another 25% while the animals in the chemical vitamin group were dead!
When you give living organisms nutrients that are in an unnatural ratio to their bodies, it actually causes imbalances and deficiencies, leading eventually to disease and death.
The drug company was amazed. They decided to evaluate what it would cost to manufacture Dr. Lee’s products—owning, operating, and maintaining the farms and factory, and what their profits could be.
To make a large bottle of Catalyn, it takes 25 pounds of organic fruits and vegetables. In order for them to maintain their customary profit margin, they would have to sell Catalyn at $30 a bottle (in 1929 dollars). Because this was far too expensive, they rejected Dr. Lee’s offer. Instead, Dr. Lee introduced Catalyn and his new company Standard Process in 1929 at the cost of $6 a bottle.
80 years later, Catalyn retails for only $10!!
